How to get to the house from the airport or from Oviedo, and exactly where it is.

From Asturias Airport

By public transport
  1. At the terminal, take the ALSA coach to Oviedo station. It leaves from outside arrivals and you buy the ticket on board or online.
  2. In Oviedo, go down to the local-train platforms, which are in the same building.
  3. Take a local train towards Infiesto or Santander and get off at Colloto, the second stop.
  4. From Colloto station you walk to the house. The walk has not been measured yet, so if you are loaded with luggage, the line H city bus stops by the church, three minutes from the door.
By car
  1. Leave the airport on the AS-238 and join the A-8 towards Oviedo/Gijón.
  2. Stay on the A-8 as far as the A-66 junction, then carry on towards Oviedo.
  3. Take the exit for Colloto onto the AS-II and drive into the village.
  4. The house is on calle Julián Clavería. You park on the street, and there are no paid bays.

The airport is not in Oviedo despite the name: it is some 47 km away. The coach does not run at all hours and the last one is early, so with a night flight check the timetable before counting on it, or book a taxi.

From central Oviedo

By public transport
  1. From the Escandalera, the station is about five minutes on foot along calle Uría.
  2. Take a local train towards Infiesto or Santander and get off at Colloto.
  3. It is a short ride: six kilometres.
  4. The TUA city bus, line H, also reaches Colloto and stops by the church, three minutes from the house. It runs every ten minutes on weekdays, so it is the fallback when no train is due.
By car
  1. Leave the centre along calle General Elorza towards avenida de Santander.
  2. Follow the AS-II towards Siero, which runs straight from Oviedo to Colloto.
  3. At the entrance to Colloto, turn into the village and look for calle Julián Clavería.

This is the everyday trip: six kilometres. The local train takes barely longer than the car, and there is no city-centre parking to hunt for.
