Barely a kilometre from the village of Murias, the Negro river drops in a waterfall between walls of dark rock and dense greenery. You reach it on a path through chestnut, oak and alder woods, crossing a wooden bridge.
It is short, well signposted and well kept: small steps help on the slopes, and people who are not used to walking in the hills manage it without trouble.

Getting there
By car
An hour and ten minutes from the house, up the Aller valley. Park in Murias.
Before you go
- It is two and a half kilometres, there and back.
- After days of rain the waterfall carries more water and the path more mud.
