Six hundred metres of sand at Muros de Nalón, with big rocks scattered across the beach that give it character. You can drive right to the edge, and there is a small promenade and somewhere to eat.
It is the easy beach on this side of the coast: lifeguards, showers, toilets, a picnic area and an amphibious wheelchair for assisted bathing. It is also where the Ruta de los Miradores starts, a stretch of the coastal path along the clifftops.

Getting there
By car
Forty-five minutes from the house, towards Avilés and the western coast. Car park at the beach.
Before you go
- Ask the lifeguards for the amphibious wheelchair.
- People surf and dive here: it is open sea, not a sheltered cove.
- Cudillero and Playa del Silencio are on the same road.
