Lagar
A working llagar —the cider is made here— with its own sidrería and restaurant, on Camino Real. The cellar can be visited, on its own timetable and with a separate menu. Closed on Tuesdays; on Mondays it serves lunch only, with dinner from Wednesday to Sunday.

Types of place
In Asturias, the place where you eat has a name, and each one has its own rhythm.
Sidrería
Built around natural cider, escanciado on the spot. Usually serves traditional dishes —cachopo, tortilla, chorizo in cider— alongside it.
Chigre
The classic Asturian tavern. Cider, vermouth, pinchos of tortilla and meat. The most authentic, least touristy option.
Lagar
A cider maker, usually outside the urban core. Some open a tasting room and sell bottles to take away.
Bar
A neighbourhood bar, informal tapas, sharing portions. A good pick for a quick meal.
Mesón
An eating house with a set menu, generous portions and a rural feel. Common in villages.
Restaurant
More elaborate cooking, a broad menu, a leisurely table. Booking is wise at weekends.
Market
A food market. For buying fresh produce to take home, not for eating on site.
